The Chinese company vivo has launched its new selfie-focused vivo V5 smartphone in India today. The company also announced a larger variant vivo V5 Plus would also be arriving soon, which has a dual front camera. The vivo V5 will be available in 22 selected cities of India from 26 Nov 2016 onwards. The pre-order can be made from 16th November 2016 onwards. The price of a vivo V5 is Rs.17,980.The most highlighted features of the device are its 20-megapixel selfie camera, and it’s moonlight glow‘ flash which enables users to take good quality selfies even in the low light.
The phone has hybrid dual-sim slots and sports a 5.5-inch display. The new vivo V5 is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor with MediaTek MT6750 SoC chipset. The smartphone has 32 GB of inbuilt storage along with a 4GB RAM. The storage capacity can be extended up to 128GB with a microSD card. The fingerprint scanner is embedded below the Home button and is water-resistant too. The device runs on Funtouch 2.6 OS which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The vivo V5 has hi-fi audio support which makes the music and movies sound better. The Smart Split feature enables the user to use two apps side-by-side simultaneously. The device has an Eye Protection Mode which filters the blue light and helps you text without causing much stress to the eyes. The device is powered by a non-removable 3000 mAh battery. The vivo V5 will be available in crown gold and Grey color variants.
