SPARSH – System for Pension Administration (RAKSHA): The Ministry of Defense has implemented a new system to provide better facilities to pensioners through the Sparsh program. This is an important initiative of the Central Government. Through this, there is a program to make pensioners participate in the pension process and give all the information. It was clarified that Sparsh Raksha is a secure and reliable digital portal for all activities related to pensions. The Defense Ministry said that under Sparsh Pension, there is a web-based system for crediting pensions directly into the bank accounts of Defense pensioners without any external intermediary.

Under the Sparsh portal, 17 lakh 10 thousand 324 pensioners who have now migrated across the country will get direct pensions from PCDA Allahabad in their bank accounts. Every pensioner will also get a user ID and password through a mobile message through the Sparsh portal. The pensioner will have to provide a pension payment order, PAN card, copy of Aadhar card, and life certificate online once a year. Now pensioners will not have to go to the DPDO office to give life certificate.

Rasika Choubey, Financial Advisor, Defense Services in the Ministry of Defense gave various information about this. She said that there are many misconceptions about the Sparsh portal among the pensioners associated with the Defense Department. She said these misconceptions need to be taken away.

A pension outreach program was organized by the Defense Accounts Department on 23 September at Surya Auditorium, Lucknow. Rasika Choubey, who reached this program, was also informed about the benefits of the portal. Cleared the misconceptions about the portal. Defense pensioners were informed about the steps taken to make the portal more comprehensive. He also explained the importance of the role of Sparsh Seva Kendra and the Common Service Center in supporting pensioners. Assured individual level monitoring of the points raised in the program.
Rasika Choubey said that data related to pensioners is being received from all banks. She said that the Defense Accounts Department is always working to resolve all the problems of the pensioners.
