Abhirami Venkatachalam was born to Aruna Nilakantan and Venkatachalam in 1991. She was born on March 9, 1991. Abhirami Iyer is her real name. Ammu is Abhirami’s nickname. Sri Shankara Senior Secondary School in Chennai is where she did her schooling. After completion of her schooling, she went for graduation at Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts. She had her graduation in History from Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts. She is also a Dance graduate from Kalakshetra and has done a master’s degree in Bharatnatyam.
She was an NCC cadet in her school days. Even though she currently stays in Chennai, Trichy is Abhirami’s hometown. Abhirami has a brother. His name is Krishna Kumar. Abhirami is an avid dog lover. Her pet dog’s name is Simba. She also has ‘pug-paws’ tattoo on her right leg. On her neck she has three stars tattooed.

At first when she was into modeling, she received offers to appear in ads for Kalamkari, Kalyan Jewelers. After that she appeared in the web series named ‘Ctrl Alt Delete’ which garnered huge attention and gave her more fame. She ends up with a huge following after the web series acting.
She also got the chance to appear in Bollywood ‘Pink’ the same year(2017). In 2018, she appeared in ZEE 5 web series ‘What’s Up Bhai’. She made her entry into Tamil film industry with the movie Kalavu in 2019. She also acted in Tamil film ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’, which is the Tamil version of the Bollywood movie ‘Pink’.
