Grand Theft Auto VI is approaching its console launch, but PC players are still waiting to find out when they can join the action. For fans who enjoy the series on a gaming computer, the biggest question is straightforward: will GTA 6 arrive on PC soon after consoles, or will there be a longer wait?
Rockstar Games has announced November 19, 2026, as the release date for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. However, that date does not confirm a Windows release. Anyone searching for the GTA 6 PC release date should keep the console schedule separate from the status of a possible PC edition.
The anticipation is easy to understand. A new Grand Theft Auto game means another opportunity to explore a sprawling setting, follow memorable characters, and discover the details that make the series so enjoyable. Before PC fans make purchasing plans, though, they need clear information about availability, system requirements, and supported features.
GTA 6 PC Release Date
As of now, Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed a release date for GTA 6 on PC. The announced launch platforms remain PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is currently no official PC date that players can confidently add to their calendars.
This also means that a suggested release month or year should not be presented as a confirmed announcement. Expectations can change, and discussion about a potential PC launch does not establish when a Windows version will become available. For now, the accurate answer is that the Grand Theft Auto VI PC launch date remains unannounced.
For players deciding whether to wait, personal preference will matter. Someone who already owns a supported console may choose to experience the game when it launches. A player whose main gaming platform is PC may prefer to hold off until Rockstar provides information specifically for computer users.
A dedicated PC announcement would help answer several practical questions. These include when purchases become available, which editions are offered, and whether the PC version has its own launch schedule. Until those details arrive, there is little value in making firm plans around an assumed date.
GTA 6 Release Date and Supported Console Platforms
The scheduled GTA 6 console release date is Thursday, November 19, 2026. The confirmed platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so players should check the system named on a product listing before purchasing.
That distinction is particularly important for anyone looking at digital editions or download codes. A console purchase should not be assumed to provide access to a future PC version. Buyers need to choose an edition compatible with the hardware they intend to use.
The console release also cannot tell PC players exactly how long they might have to wait. Without a separate announcement, there is no confirmed interval between the two launches. Assuming a short gap, or a lengthy one, would go beyond the information currently available.
For PC users, the most meaningful update will be an announcement that explicitly identifies their platform and explains how and when they can play.
GTA 6 PC System Requirements and Features to Watch For
A release date is only part of what computer players need. GTA 6 PC system requirements will be equally important when assessing whether an existing machine can handle the game or needs an upgrade.
Players will want clear guidance on processors, graphics cards, memory, and storage. Minimum requirements would help establish basic compatibility, while recommended specifications would offer a more useful starting point for choosing settings and performance targets.
There are also questions about keyboard and mouse controls, controller support, graphics options, and display settings. These are areas to watch for in a possible PC announcement, rather than features to assume ahead of confirmation.
Buying expensive hardware solely for GTA 6 would be premature without verified specifications. A more practical approach is to wait until platform details and performance information are available, then compare them with the computer already in use.For now, November 19, 2026, applies to the announced console launch. PC fans still need an official release date before they can begin a reliable countdown of their own.
