Zee entertainment network has its channels in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi languages. And now Zee is coming up with its Malayalam version. Earlier there were rumors that Zee TV is launching its first Malayalam after the Onam festival. However, it did not happen yet. The reason for the delay is not known.
The business head of Zee’s Malayalam department is Deepti Sivan. The channel name of Malayalam version is Zee Keralam. Titles its release Zee has already bagged the broadcasting rights for Shankar’s upcoming movie ‘2.0’. In addition to it, the entertainment network also bought the broadcasting rights for few Malayalam titles too. They include Dilip’s Professor Dinkan, Mohanlal, Madhuraraja, Carbon, Aami, Hey Jude, etc.
Expected Reality Shows, Serials, and Programmes from Zee Keralam Channel
It is said that there will be five mega serials airing on prime time. There are reports of auditions going on for some reality shows that are about to be aired post the launch.
The channel will be available via all the dish operators and that too in both SD and HD resolutions. With the Zee marking its presence in Malayalam, a new player is entering the Malayalam market in South India to compete with the already established channels of Sun and Star networks.
The network has already 39 international and 38 domestic channels under its wing. The Malayalam channel is going to be the fifth channel of Zee network in South India. The motto or slogan of Zee’s Malayalam channel is ‘neythedukkam jeevitha vismayangal,’ which means ‘let’s weave the miracles of life.’
Zee network set foot on the south Indian market with its Telugu channel, ‘Zee Telugu’ in the year 2005.

Swathi Nakshatra Chothi
This is the serial that is to air during prime time. Vandhana Krishnan will be playing the lead role of the serial.
Dance Kerala Dance
This would be the Malayalam version of Zee’s popular dance program ‘Dance India Dance.’
In addition to the above shows, three non-fiction shows, one morning show, seven fiction shows are also announced.
