Nintendo Switch Specifications, Price and Release Date

One of the most anticipated next-generation console Nintendo Switch is all set for a grand launch. Nintendo Switch will be launched on January 13th, 2017. In the development, stage Switch Was known as the Nintendo NX which represents the next generation console. The first look video of Nintendo Switch was released on November 2016. Nintendo Switch can be used as a portable gaming console and also as Home console. Nintendo mainly advertises Switch as a home console. The console consists of two joypads known as Joy-cons which can be attached to a tablet (central unit) and use as a portable gaming system. The console can be connected to a television by fitting the central unit to a Dock which is called Switch Dock.

Nintendo Switch console is a rechargeable battery powered tablet. A switch has a 6.6 inch LCD with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Nintendo Switch Console uses game cartridges other than the optical discs which are another specialty. As per the sources, the Switch won’t support VR (virtual reality) gaming currently. Also, Switch won’t support backward gaming compatibility as the console has cartridges for playing. The expected price of the Nintendo Switch is $400. The company hasn’t announced the actual price and release date which will be revealed on the launch event. Some of the games that showed on the promo video of Nintendo Switch are The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Mario Kart, An NBA game, A new Super Mario game, and Splatoon.
