The festival of Navratri is about to come. It’s time for deep healing and growth. The night nights are purely devoted to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Followers of Shaktism or the cult of the feminine energy take these 9 days very seriously. It’s during these 9 days that the sins of the past karma are absolved. Its the time for the soul and mind to connect for a better tomorrow. The 9 days are also divided into 9 distinct forms of mother goddess Durga. They are also identified with distinct colors and rituals.

Day 1 Navratri: Date 29 Sept 2019

The very first day of Navratri/Navaratri is dedicated to the Shailputri form of goddess Durga. This is the purest form of mother nature and is signified by the color orange. Wear orange this day to get the best blessings of the divine mother.

Day 2 Navratri: Date 30 Sept 2019

The second day of Navratri the divine mother is prayed as Goddess Bramhacharni. This is the most peace-giving form of the divine mother. The color for this day is white. Wearing white on this day gives immense peace and tranquility to the devotees.

Day 3 Navratri: Date 1 Oct 2019

On the third day of Navratri, the divine mother is prayed in the form of Chandraghanta, this form shows her in the form of half moon with her third eye always open and waging a war against the evil on this earth. The color for this day is Red. Wearing red on this day gives devotees the power to face difficult situations in life with confidence.

Day 4 Navratri: Date 2 Oct 2019

4th day of Navratri the divine mother is prayed in the form of Kushmanda. This form of the goddess is very serene and she is seen as smiling and jovial. This form is also associated with the creation of everything good on the earth. The color for this day is Royal blue. Wearing royal blue on this day brings prosperity to the lives of the devotees.

Day 5 Navratri: Date 3 Oct 2019

Day 5 of Navratri is signified by a yellow color, on this day skandmata form of the divine goddess is prayed. This is the motherly form of Goddess Durga where she is shown as mother of skand. Wearing yellow on this day bestows the intellect and fertility to the devotees.

Day 6 Navratri: Date 4 Oct 2019

On this day the divine mother is worshipped in the form of Goddess Katyayani. She is also equal to goddess Mahalaxmi and is associated with color green. Hence wearing green on this day bestows the devotees with material gains and money. Something which every one of us wants for sure.

Day 7 Navratri: Date 5 Oct 2019

Color for the 7th day of Navratri is grey, the Kaalratri form of the divine mother is worshipped on this day. This form is also associated with Mother Kali at times. Wearing grey on this day bestows one with fearless nature and wards off evil from one’s life.

Day 8 Navratri: Date 6 Oct 2019

The day of Mahagauri!, the color clubbed with this day is purple. Mahagauri form of the divine mother is associated with all the power of positivity and wearing purple on this day bestows one with the absolute truth and growth in life.

Day 9 Navratri: Date 7 Oct 2019

The color associated with the last day of the Navratri is Peacock green. This day is associated with the Siddhidatri form of the divine mother. This form bestows special boons on the devotees and whatever they desire is given to them. Wearing peacock green clothes is the surest way of getting the best out of the divine powers.
