What is the Shillong Teer Game?
Live action begins at 3:30 PM when hundreds of Archers will converge on the Archery grounds. To take part in this competition, each Archer is paid Rs.300 per day.
Each day, 50 Archers will shoot 30 shots at the target 50 meters away. Each arrow is then counted, and the Shillong Teer results are announced for each person. You should note that the final Shillong Teer result is the 2-digit number of arrows that hit their target.
Each person also buys Shillong Teer tickets throughout each day. Each ticket is Rs. 300, while the winning number will be awarded Rs. 8000. But, Shillong Teer has a dark side. In some cases, it can become an addiction. Meghalaya currently has more than 500 Shillong Teer Counters, which employs a massive 10,000 people.
