Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022 Date Announced: Check the Voting Date and Counting Date Here

Assembly elections have been announced in Himachal Pradesh. Announcing the election dates on Friday (October 14), the Election Commission said that Himachal Pradesh will go to polls in one phase. Voting will be held on 12th November and counting will be done on 8th December. The notification for the elections will be issued on October 17. The last date for making nominations is October 25 and can be withdrawn till October 29.

The Election Commission said that the Election Commission of India is committed to conducting the elections properly. Will try to conduct the election fair and proper. How many voters are in Himachal Pradesh?

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajeev Kumar said in the PC that some polling stations will be managed entirely by women employees. Some polling stations are to be managed entirely by PWD staff. He said that out of 68 seats in the assembly, 17 seats are reserved for the SC category and 3 seats for the ST category. There are 55.07 lakh voters in Himachal. Of these, 27 lakh 80 thousand are males and 27 lakh 27 thousand are females.

New voters will be able to join till the day of the nomination

The Chief Election Commissioner said, Voters are our priority, that is why those who do not have Voter ID cards can get it till the day of nomination. Voters will be able to join till the day of nomination.

Special arrangements for voters above 80 years of age

The Election Commission said that if people above 80 years of age, Divyang, or corona infected are unable to come to the booth, then voters will be taken at their home. There are 1.82 lakh voters above the age of 80 years. The staff of the commission will go to the houses to vote for the voters above the age of 80 years, the process will be videographed. Apart from this, there are 1184 voters above 100 years of age in the state.
